The Utilities Group is one of the company’s growth divisions, handling the construction and installation of underground utilities like water and sewer pipelines, and telecommunication and data cables. The group expanded quickly, gaining immense expertise in water transmission pipelining and capturing major pipe-laying projects for water utility companies like PrimeWater.

It further broadened its capabilities by advancing into STPs (Sewage Treatment Plant), deep well drilling using modern and efficient drill rigs, well rehabilitation and camera logging, steel welded tank construction, and auxiliary operations.

MGS is also capable of the less disruptive and cost effective trenchless installation, having acquired state-of-the-art equipment capable of doing horizontal directional drilling (HDD)––whether installing small, large, or multiple conduits. Its projects range from laying shorter spans under driveways to installing pipelines of up to 250mm HDPE (high density polyethylene) in major roads and highways. Aside from HDD, open trenching, and manual excavation, the group also offers first-rate HDPE fusion welding, displacement air hammer drilling, and vacuum excavation services.
